Sydney Finders Keepers Market

I was fortunate enough to get to go to the Finders Keepers markets on Friday night, held only twice a year in The Carriageworks, in Sydney's Eveleigh. This two day event is truly food for the soul.

I didn't go too crazy, this is my small stash of shopping. Fortunately most stalls are cash only which helps reign it in. :)

My love of letterpress runs deep. These letterpressed bookmarks and card, as well as the card below are both from Bespoke Letterpress Boutique. I stayed at their stall for a long time, there was just way too many beautiful card, tags, envelopes and other eye candy.

If you're in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane do try and make it along. They really are just amazing.

Pepper Design Blog Interview

Happy weekend! I don't normally post on weekends, but this was so exciting for me, I had to. Romeo + Juliet

Happy Tuesday! This week is already flying by. I had a lovely weekend, I hope you did too. I spent Sunday afternoon up in Leura, one of my favourite places in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales. We were fortunate enough to go to a moonlight performance of Romeo & Juliet in the Leura Everglades Gardens, it was just beautiful.

The gardens are just stunning, it was lovely just to wander around before the show. I wish my gardens could look like this!

 

 

Isn't it all just lovely? The Leura Shakespeare Festival is on until this weekend, if you can, head along! 

I Want To Wish You A Merry Christmas

I have the song Feliz Navidad running through my head and driving me a little mental, but I really do want to wish you all a very merry Christmas.

We're All In This Together

I mentioned this a little while ago, but my work/church has a movie coming out TODAY in the US and in the following weeks for the rest of the world.

We're All In This Together follows Hillsong United on their tours and highlights some of the problems in the world today, I think it's going to be really impacting.

It's one night only, so head off and see it!

The I-Heart Revolution

So, this is not normally what I'd post on this blog, but I'm so excited about this. Hillsong United are from my church here in Sydney, and they're bringing out their I-Heart Revoultion film in November.

As United crisscross the globe they are confronted and ultimately overwhelmed by the stories of remarkable individuals facing injustice and the uncomfortable paradox of being united in worship yet divided in circumstance. If their entire focus is directed only to what happens on stage, then maybe they have missed the point altogether.

So, go and see it! I'm pretty sure it's one night only.

New Kindred Wallpapers

Well, hello!! It's ben a while since I've blogged, I'm sorry but I have had no internet. Yes, I've been struggling without it.

Anyway, I noticed that the Kindred site has some beautiful new summer wallpapers for your computer. It's a little weird seeing summery pictures when winter has certainly set in down here in old Sydney town. But, it's lovely to see the beautiful colours on a cold dreary day. I thought I'd share some.

 

 

My Trip To Leura

I'm back from the mountains. Oh gosh, I could move there!! I adore autumn at the best of times. When it's up in the beautiful Blue Mountains with the crisp air, warm sunshine and gorgeous colours - well, I'm just in heaven.

I thought I'd show you some of my favourite things I saw in some of the little shops up there. If only I had limitless cash I could have an incredibly good shopping spree! Instead, I had to be content with window shopping, and adding a few things to the list of 'things I must have in my home to make my life better' I have in my head.

I absolutely adore the pears. They are actually a bit more lime green, but it's hard to get the right colour when you're trying to secretly take a photo before you get caught! They're a bit pricey but I want to do some lime green colours in the house for spring/summer, so I think they might be worth it.

All My Dreams Have Come True!

Yes, I now have my very own font! I'm so excited. The fact that my scanner was having serious 'issues' that might have derailed this exciting event have now been forgotten. How freaking cool is this?

Have a go, it's free! I think now I know how easy it is, I'm going to have another go and get all my letters straight and looking a little better.

Spoiled!

It was my birthday a couple of days ago, and my beautiful workmates spoiled me with a new wallet - amongst other things!

I am absolutely LOVING everything that Fossil is making at the moment, their bags, wallets, belts everything!

Utter Devastation

I know this isn't normal All Things Lovely blog fodder, but this is such a devastating time in Australia that I had to mention it.

My heart is breaking for all of those people who have been affected by the horrific bushfires that have swept through Victoria over the past few days. Over 1000 homes have been lost, and the death toll continues to rise, at the moment sitting just under 200 precious lives - not to mention all the wildlife.

Australia deals with bushfires almost every summer. As a country we have never seen anything like this, and I pray we never do again. At the moment, these fires are still raging with no real end in sight due to changes in the weather.

If you want to help, donations can be made through the Red Cross, what will help the most is money, blood and daily necessities.

We can only pray that these are out soon, as people then have to deal with saying goodbye to those they loved, and begin to rebuild their lives.

Happy Australia Day!!

It’s Australia Day here today! I love this day. It’s usually hot, so it means either a BBQ at the beach or a pool, lots of hanging out with friends, maybe some fireworks, plenty or pavlova and lamingtons and generally just a bloody good time. Oh, not to mention a day off work which is so Australian.
