Shoe Lust

Happy Monday! Hope you've had a lovely weekend. Today I have a day off and I plan to spoil myself rotten. I've just worked 15 days straight which may explain my lack of posts and so now I have some time to myself and I'm going to enjoy it!

Anyway, to the post at hand. If you're a girl, and some guys as well, you totally know what I mean when I say 'Shoe Lust'.

Just look at these shoes! I'm tempted to not buy groceries for two months to buy a pair!! Five minutes on the Mandarina Shoes website and I'm thinking of selling of a kidney.

 

My Book Wishlist

After seeing some of Rose's decorating books on her brand new Able Mae blog, I remembered I have a little design and decorating book wish list of my own. I'll share them with you, and maybe if you have any of them you can let me know what you think of it.

Style by Thom Filicia. This is top of my wish list and I'm still wishing this guy wasn't gay. He was my favourite on Queer Eye, I just sat there wishing he would come to my house and we could decorate together.

Home Rules by Nate Berkus. Another one that's a bit too cute for his own good. I only wish I could watch more of Oprah when hes on, I love his style!

The Nest Home Design, I always feel like they have lovely ideas.

Downtown Chic by Bob Novogratz. I know nothing about this one, but it's intriguing me!

You're The Fairest of Them All

My goodness!! Trying to win a mirror on eBay is HARD work! After watching about 15, plus setting myself a pretty tight budget, I won this mirror.

I've definitely got plans for this baby, including a meeting with some paint. Once I get a closer look, I also want to see if I can add some kind of moulding under the paint. We'll see...

Mirror, Mirror On The Wall

I'm looking for a mirror to go in my lounge room above the TV. Currently it's a bit bare, plus I'm also planning an art feature wall for the opposite wall so I think it would look great in the reflection. Of course, I turned to eBay to try and find something so here's my current watch list. I'm not planning on keeping any of them gold, *shock horror* Wish me luck!!

Happy Australia Day!

Today is Australia Day, and days like this make me so happy to be Australian. We really are the 'lucky country' in so many ways. Lots of space, amazing weather, stunning beaches and the coolest people on earth, so happy Australia Day to my Aussie friends.

Anyway, in honour of this day that we get off work to basically do nothing but have a BBQ with friends and hang at the beach being 'straylian I thought I would do a round up of some of my favourite little Aussie Etsy shops. Ready? Here we go.

Percy Handmade is based in our nations capital, Canberra! With lots of vintage style brooches, clutches to die for and more, it's just all too lovely.

Wilkintie is from lovely Melbourne and has a cute little range of letterpress prints. I have a big crush on anything letterpress right now!

I've been sucked into the enchanting world of Bloomingville, via the lovely Brunch at Saks blog. This lovely Danish brand of homewares is just so delightful. Where can I get me this light?

 

 

 

Amor Designs

Can anyone else believe how close we're getting to Christmas? We've been hanging decorations up at work the past two days, all the departments at the church are competing against each other for the best decorations. The downside would be that the winners have to host the entire staff (about 200 at this site) for afternoon tea.  Still...hoping we win!

Anyway, apart from Christmas, I found Amor Designs today. Another Australian based shop which I always love, selling French and shabby chic items, some other things I always love! Go and have a little look see, and if you spend $200 you'll get a free cushion cover!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you're excited about the new week, I'm definitely on the downhill slide to the Christmas break. I've been madly sewing costumes for my church's Christmas Eve play, I think I am sick of seeing wise men costumes! I'm very excited about some time off work so I can finally enjoy some of this hot hot weather we're getting in Sydney.

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like An Anthropologie Christmas

Is anyone else getting excited about Christmas? This year I am determined to be better than last year! I'd just started a new job and life was insane - I think I was lucky to actually get a tree up. This year I feel more organised, I'm starting to think about it and looking forward to it.

To Dry For

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a lovely weekend. Mine was filled with lots of time with friends which just makes everything better.

Thought I'd start this week with some lovely tea towels. I found out about To Dry For via Holly at Decor8, and now I want to go shopping mad. I really love tea towels, especially since I don't have a dishwasher and so I actually need them. I probably don't need as many as I'd likle to go and buy though, so perhaps all my friends are now about to get hit with tea towels for Christmas presents! And the bonus....they ship worldwide!
