I'm so excited that the weekend is finally here. The weather is really getting cooler here in Sydney, I adore autumn, it's absolutely my most favourite month. The crisp but beautiful sunny days, the gorgeous colours in the trees and the warm sunshine, just bliss!
Just wanted to let you know I'm having a little sale in my store for Mothers' Day. You might just find something perfect for the Mum or Mom in your life. 10% off everything, just wait for the invoice!
Hope you have a beautiful and relaxing weekend. I'm hoping to get into some craft, and some cupcake baking!
Jill Rosenwald's Etsy shop has been the featured seller, and not hard to see why. Everything just looks so beautiful, not to mention the gorgeous colours just making me feel so calm, which I really need at the moment. I also really love her product photography - something I need to get better at.
OK, so I've gone a little crazy on Etsy. Oops. I should be buying Christmas presents for other people, instead I've been spoiling myself! It's rare that I do, so I'm enjoying it. I thought I'd share some little things I've bought.
A new desk calendar for 2009, I love the colours in this one! You've probably seen it on my blog before, I've finally bought it! From Etsy seller Cecily Ink.
Then I needed some pretty earrings to go with a top I bought, I loved these and she's a fabulous Aussie seller, I just had to support Aussie Made! From Bubbles Jewelry Design.
I saw this poster somewhere recently and just loved it. It's totally perfect for my studio, from Beth Howard Studio.
And last but certainly not least, this gorgeous papier mache bird from Middleberg. How utterly gorgeous is it?
OK, it's now time to step away from Etsy, and stop spending everything I earn! Some days I think I could single handedly solve the economic crisis with the amount of money I pump into it. So, what have you been buying on Etsy? Links would be awesome.
Is it just me, or has this year gone way too fast? I had so many things I wanted to do, I wanted to be a whole different person... it appears I'm still me and my to-do list is still long!
Oh well, the coming to an end of a year always gets me excited about new calendars and diaries. This year I've upgraded to my gorgeous Ivy... the iPhone as my diary so I won't need to go out and buy fantabulous paper and cover a not so pretty diary. I will however, be buying some calendars, and what better place to look than Etsy.
I'd thought Id' showcase a few that are currently on my favourites list.
She is such a stylish lady, and the beautiful kids stuff she makes are no exception. Door stops, cushions, baby bunting all in beautiful retro fabrics, plus some of the most beautiful quilts you've ever seen. Do yourself a favour and go over and have a look, I only wish I had some little children running around.
Can you believe we're half way through September at all? I have just ordered Christmas fabric to make some Christmas themed things for my Etsy shop, that freaks me out!! Anyway, I guess I've gotta deal with it. And the way I deal with stuff is shop. So, here is my list of favourites - slightly inspired by thinking of Christmas presents for family and friends so they're a little all over the place.
I love calendars. Even though I don't actually use them, I love to look at them. I really like this one from Cecily Ink, I really love the colours and modern pictures. I might have to make it a present for me... and someone else.
Now, while I don't have children, I do love to buy gifts for the children of my friends. One little girl in particular loves purple so I think she would really love these hair clips, from My Bella Bows. How cute are they!
Now, this is really a gift for me, because well - I think I deserve it. Paris Is For Lovers by Irene Suchoki, she takes photos and then digitially edits and adds to them. I love the finished look, original and beautiful. I am running out of wall space though at home, so I need to find a spot for this.
Just thought I would show some new bibs I've just listed in my Etsy shop. I've been very out of this week with a nasty bug, but I'm finally feeling better, and doing lots of sewing!
I had some cute fabric left over with flowers on it so thought flower pots would look quite cute.
And who can resist yummy cupcakes? Well, not me! YUM!
Wow, two posts in one day. It's good to be back. I've been a bit slack on the blogging, I've been busily painting this week - photos will come when I've got myself sorted out! I've had the week off work, and it's been lovely to spend the week doing crafty things and just enjoying life.
I got a wonderful parcel in the mail a few days ago, new sew in labels for all my things for Avonlea Designs, my Etsy shop. I honestly thought for a while there that I was label cursed, every label I ordered I was not happy with. So, I finally took a chance and ordered 200 (!) and all my fretting paid off. These woven labels arrived, and they are PERFECT! I couldn't be happier, and I love that everything has that really professional edge now.
So many things that I've bought from Etsy have come from international sellers, so I thought I would feature some fabulous Aussie sellers. Nothing like being patriotic especially with the Olympics starting tonight!
Next is Tambatoys, also from Sydney! Some of the prints in this shop are just so lovely and whimsical. I wish I had children, I would fill their rooms with these pictures, I especially love this one below.
Last, but not least for today is Mulberry Muse. I'm loving anything French inspired at the moment, so this shop is sucking me right in. Look at this card, it has three of my favourite things; pink, birds and chandeliers!
I love that you love this blog, but please don't take any of my original photos without my permission. I'm happy for you to use them though if you're linking back to All Things Lovely, which I'd love you to feel free to do to your hearts desire! Thanks so much for understanding.
