Even though I didn't actually do much at all, this seemed to take weeks! It started here, and then I decided I didn't like any of the fabric choices, so I went with Fresh Poppies by Amy Butler, from the new Midwest Modern range. My first attempt with the curtains turned out far too poofy, so I toned it back and I think I'm happy now. I'm still getting used to walking in there and having something up on the window. So here are the new curtains!
This is the full look of the laundry, including my little fabric covered canvas 'L' that I finished a couple of weeks ago. I think it goes OK, but if anyone has other suggestions I'd love to hear them!
And this is the wall decal from Elephannie that I have next to the door, so you see it as you walk out. I didn't quite get it applied right, it's missing a lot of blossoms off the trees! I'm tossing up whether to take it off and buy another one the same. We'll see...
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. This here is a collection of things I've been making, ideas I like and all things that I find lovely. I get to live in the most beautiful city on earth, Sydney Australia. I'm an online shopaholic, craft lover and devoted to my gorgeous labrador Indiana.

Girly girl, alternatively spelled girlie girl, is a slang term for a girl or woman who chooses to dress and behave in a traditionally feminine style, such as wearing floral dresses, blouses and skirts, and talking about relationships and other activities which are associated with the traditional gender role of a girl.

Painting flowers on sounds like a fabulous idea, but knowing me I would royally bugger it up! Even more than putting the decal on!
I do so love the fabric, I want to use it on more things, but it might be an overload.

Oh, it looks so pretty! That's my favorite fabric right now – I've been trying to think of a place to use it in my house too.
I think it would be cute to paint the flowers that are missing from the decal with pink paint, and a couple of green leaves!

Absolutely beautiful! You're very talented. I'd love a girly laundry - it's very 50s housewife! Oh, to be a 50s housewife...

I hadn't thought of white pots... hmmm! I was thinking of a few of these: http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/50113636
I don't really go so well on the live plant thing, so maybe I could just use them for decoration?

oh love it you have done very well. i suggest some nice white pots on the window sill with some greenery.. maybe not real as i am unsure of your living plant keeping abilities. you will have to much sewing and crafting to do to be able to care for them me thinks LOL
Well done hunny

Kylie it looks fantastic! Puts my messy, out of order, ugly laudry to shame! Anything that makes washing a little bit more exciting is great in my books :)

It looks lovely Kylie! Its really come together beautifully! And i love the decal the way it is - its a bit like a tree in late Autumn, early Winter...which is my FAVORITE time of the year, so I think it looks perfect! Doing the laundry must be so much more fun now!
